Activesync Issue - HELP PLEASE
 

Ok well here's the situation:

Yesterday my phone got drenched in the rain and it died on me but i let it dry overnight and it is working fine right now. For some reason when I plug it in for the activesync to work, it doesn't work? IT shows that it is charging but it wont connect to activesync. I have not made any changes since I turned it back on but does anybody know how I could fix this or attempt to have it fixed? I opened up activesync on my phone to play around with it but it wont connect to my phone to pc. anyways, any help would be helpful, THANKS!

P.S. If you need more info or detail please let me know.

hey what phone do you suggest I get then? I didnt buy the phone from sprint, I bought it off Craigslist so i can't bring it in through insurance to get a new one. any suggestions? im a fan of the hard keyboard though.

FYI: Activesync is not all that important. I had the same problem with 2 TP2's and learned to live without it.

Possible suspects: Of course the water is a possible cause, but it could also be software. how many files are in yr windows/startup folder?

im not sure how many files are in there, I just wnat to know how i can upload more songs and/or files to my phone from my computer since activesync isnt working? is it going to be possible? or do I have to pull out my storage card every time and do it that way. just looking for a simple solution.

BTW, AS works with BT... I am about to post another item on AS... I really need to dump this program.

the guy at the Sprint store said this activesync issue is common with TP2. If you search ppcgeeks, you'll find a ton of unresolved threads. I only ask about the windows/startup folder because both of my busted TP2's had files missing from that folder, mysteriously. I would try Jerry's suggestion of connecting via bluetooth. If it is water corrupting yr connection, BT will most likely still work. Worst case ontario would be reloading the sd, like you said. That's what I had to do :(

Hey, for some reason my activesync started working again? have no clue but it works now... i didnt do anything to it, i just let it be for a couple days and then when i plugged it into my usb cord to my computer it just started working out of no where. thanks for the suggestions though!
