Checking ESN's - Got a TP2 for sale in Bargain Trader section
So I've got my TP2 for sale in the bargain trader, and a potential buyer asked a great question. How does he ensure that the ESN of the phone I'm selling is clean (it is), and how do I protect myself from ESN fraud, while re-assuring the buyer that the phone is legit.
Any thoughts? |

what sprint did for me was they sent me an email report of the phones ESN and what i did was save the email as JPEG and then fuzzed out the last 3 letters of the ESN so they could only see half of the ESN and that worked fine for them and me and they could see that it was clean and legitimate

Did you just call customer service and request it?

Call the carrier and let them know you have picked up a backup handset and would like to make sure it is not lost, stolen, or in use. Provide them with the ESN number and customer service should accommodate you.

yes customer service, another way todo it would be to chat online if your carrier does it, and just say you want to make sure a phones esn is clear and after they tell you its clear say good bye and then they should email you a chat log of sum sort and all that you have todo is take out the last digits of the esn in the email and just email that to the potential buyer
