Yeah, I know.

I already said that, and as I stated, In NRGs Thread, it shows the start bar on the bottom left.

However, when I flashed it, MY START BAR IS STILL ON THE TOP LEFT (hence I still have 6.5)

This is exactly my problem, and exactly what I posted in my main post.

Ah, you downloaded the wrong ROM, and then you show attitude to someone trying to help!.

Suhhweet! :)

I would suggest you read NRG's first post more carefully:

The 21908 Build which is the most reliable and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner! I recommend you start with this first!
The 23569 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.5 series with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys. These builds are not as stable or perfect, but they reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. These are also much more finger friendly throughout.

You downloaded the wrong ROM.

One last reply - 23569 is really fairly old at this point. It was the last of the obsolete COM5 (6.5.5) series. All the newest releases are COM3 and 231xx appears to be MS's latest carrier-neutral build.

I made the post because (as the title says) I was looking for a good 6.5.5 Rom,

However thanks to proxhacks, I got what I wanted.

Sorry if my asking a question about "Whats a good WM 6.5.5 Rom" somehow confuses or upsets you, I forgot this is not a forum for the Rhodium...thats my bad.

Also, would you mind showing me where I "showed attitude" at? Maybe its just easy to assume that via text (as its hard to type emotions or whatever), but if your talking about my response to proxhacks, we also talked via PM to find me a rom, and there was no attitude, anger, or hostility at all.

One last thing, Thanks Jm for the heads up (and picture) of NRGs Rom, once I decide to change Roms (again, as this happens quite often), I will for sure check it out.

Thanks again to everyone that helped out (You all get thanks)

Don't worry, I knew that you did some tweaking to it (after all, why flash a rom and not fully customize it to how you would want it).

Thanks again for the willingness to help. It is much appreciated. If I have any questions I will shoot you a PM.

Thanks again (downloading the NRG right now)

Windows 6.5 system build 21XXX and Windows 6.5.X system build 23XXX that is the difference. I would recommend vins plutonium rom 07/09/2010 system build 23569.

I actually had Plutonium (6.5.5) last night. Just finished flashing to NRG 6.5.5 (Then added Cookie v1.8.5).

I did not have anything against Plutonium, I just like to check out all my options before I settle on one for sure.

So far I think I am liking NRG a little more (it seems to run faster for me).

However, I do miss having the Sense 2.5 Mods pack that I had for Plutonium, as I really liked being able to swap out themes at the click of a button (Man, I really dug that Orange theme).

Is there any Theme Apps like that for NRG? I read somewhere that the Sense 2.5 Mods Pack will only work on NON CFC Compressed Roms, and since NRGs is CFC Compressed, this renders the Sense Mods Pack unusable.

I did not try to install the Sense Mods Pack, just going by what I was reading.

the nrg roms are compressed to help them be a lil faster but this makes it less compatible with most mods since stock roms are uncompressed. most people use NRGz rom because of all the mods and programs already installed, but i think MR. X ROM is CFC compressed and a little more like stock so if you do find mods you can add, you'll have a cleaner slate to start with

edit: i dont think MR. X makes a 6.5.x ROM though, correct me if i'm wrong

I don't know if he does or not, but I am gonna look into it.

Another big issue for me is battery life (some Roms had me charging TWICE a day). Hell, even on the Stock Rom (Sprint), I would find myself charging twice per day.

I do plan to get an extra battery (or two) sooner or later though. Also, does anyone make an extended life battery without adding to much weight and (extra) bulk to the phone?

Edit - No Mr. X 6.5.5 that I could find
