Windows Mobile 6.5 Tethering
 

I've had far to much trouble with custom roms so at this point I'm just going to install sprints stock 6.5 rom. My question is what fixes are needed to usb tether the internet for 6.5. Because with the custom roms (mighty rom 6.1) all i had to do was click internet sharing.

yes. i used the cab for the app but it didnt work. got a error message 67

error 67 means your phone cannot connect to the internet. what you posted in your other thread might be the problem (you actually double posted your problem about tethering). the answer on that other thread is the solution. if your device is not connecting to data....you will not be able to use stealth tethering. you have to fix your phone's data connection first and then move on to you tethering problem.

make sure pc doesnt have any updates pending also, had a similar issue but it was w7 waiting for me to reboot so changes could take affect but if data on ppc is off then that will do it. lol

That cab file worked perfectly-I have tethering back! No way I was going to pay AT&T more for tethering, they're gouging me enough. Worked fine with my old 8525 but now with my Tilt2 they want another $30/mo?

Does anyone know if anything will interfere with this stealth tethering (upgrades, AT&T Communicator, etc)?

BTW- I got an error "could not connect to network" at first when trying to connect to AT&T ISP GPRS, but it worked fine when I switched to MEdia Net.

Also noticed that on my laptop the network connection icon disappeared after connecting, but internet connection still worked.
