Dialer using tones instead of speaking
On my Incite with WinMo 6.1, I was able to configure Voice Command so that when using the dialer it would say the number of the key in a nice female voice instead of using tones. For some reason, either this is no longer available on the Tilt 2 or it is buried somewhere that I have yet been able to find. I much prefer hearing the number spoken. A tone has no value as far as making sure I hit the right number. My eyes are bad and I don't always have my glasses on when using the phone. This was a great feature for me and I'd like to get it back. I can't believe M$ would have taken it out. Does anyone know of a reg edit or cab file to get this function back? Thanks.

Re: Dialer using tones instead of speaking
I'm going to bump just because that sounds fairly bad-ass to be dialing and have a chick say the numbers. I keep my tones OFF and I sure do misdial a lot. But I figured it's not like I'd hear the tones and say "wait a second, that sounded like a 3, I wanted 2!"
I'd actually like the number sounds from the old Texas Instruments Speak & Math...how rad would THAT be? |
