Re: Custom Roms?
ATT is actually a GSM phone. while we have a lot of great developers here. this site is mostly for CDMA like sprint and verizon. for GSM i would suggest xda-developers.org... either way welcome and from everyone here, please, make yourself at home. you will not be disappointed with all the great info you find here and/or the people you will meet

Re: Custom Roms?
+1 to what ridleyj said.
just wanted to give you the correct website. it's .com, not .org. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=490 |
Re: Custom Roms?
okay thanks for the fast responds but i dont get how to use anything there :/
can you help me find a rom thats clean or made for tmobile?? |
Re: Custom Roms?
some roms arent made specifically for certain carriers. just for the phone type.. cdma or gsm. i dont understand what you mean by clean. all roms are built differently and they just depend on your personal tastes. for exampl, im partial to NRG rom if you wanna try it out. but the only way to know what suits is to try them all and stick with what you like.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562773 That is the link to Energys roms. But I would first read the link suggested about first time flashing and like people have said do not be afraid to ask questions :) |
Re: Custom Roms?
+1 on the youtube coment. Watching someone else do it made me feel more confortable the first time I flashed.
Good luck! Aaron |
Don't Give Up
Don't give up as I assure you it is not as hard as you may think. Just have to read the posts that others have sent already and watch the videos and you will be flashing in no time at all. The main thing to me is to just pay attention to detail when you flash and make sure to not be in a hurry as you do not want to risk messing up your phone because of being inpatient. Mine is CDMA so not sure if the GSM way is any different but I am sure that it can't be that much different. So just have some faith in yourself and you will be just fine and I can assure you that there is a lot of help for you between PPCGeeks and XDA as the guys here and over at XDA are always ready to help out when needed as we have all been there. Will you meet some that are just a trip LOL LOL, yes you will, but just move on because I know at least 90% of these people in these forums are very helpful and respond quickly with the correct answer most of the time to whatever issue you may have...
