Well Give that a shot and update it if it says there is one, but Honestly it sounds like your place just happens to be a black hole and if the updated PRL and radio's don't work sounds like your getting a repeater, :( .

If u call and complain u can get the mini cell tower that hooks up to your broadband for free... as far as i know its only an additional monthly charge if u want the minutes used on the device not to count towards your anytime min.

Its called Sprint Airave

http://shop.sprint.com/en/services/airave/index.shtml

they must have changed the service charge.... it is 4.99 a month fee just to use the device...

I know they have given customers that r on the fence about keeping sprint or jumping carriers that only have poor service @ home for free you could just call and complain... any other sprint phones loose service and do that @ your house ?

nice... i wonder if i can try to get them to budge on getting one for free. at this rate, i wouldnt mind paying the 4.99/mo for service (dont know why the heck it costs me anything since its running off my high speed!). anyways, beats the $99 fee+4.99/mo.

as for other spring phones in my home, im still not sure. i just moved in and havent had any guests with sprint phones yet (not that im aware of).

thanks for the help guys! ill keep you all posted if i get the airrave for free for anyone else that might benefit from this :)

yeah, I would call back and complain and tell them you are gonna have to switch service if they can't fix the reception in your house. tell them that you don't think you should have to pay extra just to have service in your own home and you won't pay for it. If they won't budge after a couple of attempts, look for other service.

I have a similar situation where I only get reception near one of my widows. What I did was buy a Panosonic blue tooth cell link phone. You don'd need a landline but you can set the base by the window and charge your phone by the window and still have to handsets that you can use anywhere in the house. It has been great solution for me. Here is the link if you are interested http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Expa.../dp/B00138AJPO

If you complain enough to sprint retentions they will send the Airave for free with no monthly charge.
