New internet service, now I can't connect to my wifi
Ok, so I am not new to this but I am having an issue today. I had AT&T internet w/wifi for years, now I just upgraded to AT&T U-verse. I had no problem before, until today.
Before, I had a 2-wire modem and had no issues, and I didn't think I would have any issues because now I have a shiny new 2-wire modem. The only difference that I know of are the security settings. My settings before: Authentication: Shared Data Encryption: WEP The key is automatically provided: Unchecked Network Key: ********** Now: Authentication: WPA Data Encryption: TKIP (Then I try to uncheck box and it is greyed out-see pic) http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...7/Screen01.png |
Re: New internet service, now I can't connect to my wifi
switch authentication to shared, uncheck the box for automatically provided key and reselect wpa. That should do it. or select wpk-psk (pre-shared key) thats how i have mine setup

nevermind. I did it once, it didn't work. Said that my key wasn't long enough, should be 8 minimum. (its 10 numbers) but I was trying it again while typing this...and it just connected. Thank you so much!!! |
