T-mobile TP2 on metropcs
 

hhello i want to be a t-mobile version of tp2 but i have metropcs , i hear its a world fone so it has both gsm and cdma is this phone capable of being flashed to metropcs?? also what can be done with this phone can it be unlocked by like a coke loader version for it to use custom roms ?? thanks :)

All GSM phones are "world phones" theoratically..but the t-mobile and at&t versions do not have CDMA..

As for MetroPCs..are you in a CDMA area or an AWS area?

On cdma area a sprint/verizon tp2 will work...but AWS area t-mobile one should "theoretically" work since I think it supports AWS on that band...

oh really i thought that the gsm versions of tp2 had cdma also but it was locked or somthing, i looked at specs and it says it has cdma , im confused lOL.

Its the other way around..cdma version has GSM too..but not US 3g and no AWS..

Omg so the sprint and verizon phones can work with gsm not the other way around? argh darnit i was gona buy a tmobile version for 120 bux brandnew!! lol darn.

Buy it and sell it on ebay for $250, will make a good profit and use that money to buy a CDMA touch pro 2!!!!:mrgreen:

it wouldn't matter if it was an AWS area or not, a tmobile tp2 will not work on metro.
