If you have CHT and the editor Yes, just use the toggle switch, it's under Toggle switch's when you click on a empty quick link.

As for the rest of your Q's, I can't answer as I only put it on the phone to get the radio updated and then I went right back to MaxSense.

That part I knew, I was more wondering on the cab part if something with the new ROM renders them moot, like they are no longer necessary because of changes they made within the ROM.

Also one other question for everyone, will old cabs, say those that I had used on 6.1 still work for 6.5 or do you need a version that's compatible with 6.5? Thanks again.

Does the phone need to be HSPL Unlocked to install the fixed version? Looks like most stuff can be fixed with some cabs but the Sleep Of Death fix that is built in is really invaluable.

OK, a few quick questions for everyone since I'm unexperienced with some of this stuff. I'm still running the original 6.1 on my phone.

1. I had downloaded the no push internet cab for it, do I need to download it again or is there something with this ROM where you don't need it anymore?

2. Same question, but this time for the cab that fully closes Opera and doesn't leave it secretly running in the background. Do I need that again?

3. Do I need to reinstall the 3.5 .net framework?

4. I was hesitant to switch to the last ROM that VZ released because I had read that it was really running down people's batteries compared with the original ROM that came on the phone, is that still the case with this ROM, or is battery life OK?

5. How is the memory usage after installing the ROM? With the no push internet and the close Opera cabs I usually am in the neighborhood of 53% right after a soft reset and then after some use get up in the 63% area. Is it improved with this ROM?

Well I think those are all my questions for now. I'm sure I'll come up with more at some point, but thanks for helping me out with these. I'm sure they're layups for most of you. Thanks again!

1+2. No push internet cab and opera close cab should have done the same thing and shouldn't be needed in 6.5. (I don't think they carried this over).
3. Net 3.5 should already be installed as part of 6.5

Most of the cabs should work, but it will be trial and error. Best thing to do is to install a cab, soft reset and run the program to check out. If the phone does anything funny, then uninstall.

Battery life seems decent. I dont think its as good as the previous Mighty I was running but I havent had the same glitches so the trade off is worth it. RAM is high but I never really worry about it since windows manages it and I close apps.

If you got CHT installed, the device will fail to wake from sleep while the cpu is busy, give it a second and hit the wake up again and it will wake up.

No CHT. Still ,the 'give it a moment' thing sounds like it deserves a try regardless, thanks.

I installed the newest CHT and it slowed my manila waaay down.
So this morning i installed version 1.6.1 and CHTEditor 1.6.1 and it seems as fast as ever. and still does what I want.
All I really want it for is the quick link pages and to change voicemail to call history.

Did you try changing the animations to Original instead of Optimized? I remember that helping.

Thanks everyone for the help you've been lending in this thread, you guys rock! I have another question that hopefully someone can help me with. I find the bluetooth volume to be very low in this ROM. I was using the AudioPara3.csv cab on the MR1 build to increase the bluetooth volume, and it worked great. It doesn't seem to work on this ROM. Can anyone lend some tips to increase the bluetooth volume on this ROM? Thanks!

Manila Start Menu Hacks?_ Verizon Touch Pro2 MR2 Update includes Sense 2.5

2 Attachment(s)
I had the Manila Start Menu on my TP2(Sense 2.1) hacked to 4 columns(Co0kies 4 row for Sense2.1) and 60 possible app spots. I also had the 2nd,3rd and 4th row of four directed to folders(I had these rows locked). I could add or remove apps to all of these 60 that were not "locked".
Before the update to Sense 2.5 I exported the registry from HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/Manila/Program Launcher to a folder on my SD Card.
I knew that this would NOT create four columns on the Sense 2.5, but I did expect the 60 spots to be fully functional as they were before. They are not. I can only add and remove shortcuts down to spot 36.
I checked the (D word Value of) Program Launcher / totalItemCount and it is set to 60. All of my original shortcuts created are functional, but if I attempt to change them after spot number 36 (from the Start Menu) all values in the spot number I attempt to change are deleted. I can change the values back with Resco and the shortcut returns and is functional.
Does someone know of an additional value somewhere in the Registry that limits the total spots to "no more than 36"?
Also....Does anyone know how to get the 4 columns back in the Manila Start Menu/App Launcher? I have already got the "Windows Start Menu" at 4 columns.

The first attached image is what I had with Sense 2.1 and the second is what I now have now with Sense 2.5, any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks,

Help! I'm trying to flash back from MightyRom FF to MR1 so that I can go to MR2. At first I tried relocking before the MR1 flash and the process stopped at the multi-color window and didn't relock. Then I tried flashing MR1 since it was still unlocked and I get a rapid disconnect sound and the process stops. Looks like nothing will flash at all now. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Edit**
Finally got it to work by Flashing from the Bootloader. I'm in IT and sometimes I just HATE computers!

Man! You shoulda stayed unlocked and flashed X's fixed MR2 ROM.
Its exactly the same except he added safe tethering, HTC task manager and fixed the Sleep of Death issue.

I'm probably going to...but Mr. X didn't include the new radio in his and I wanted to get that. The main problem with MR1 is that the BT radio KILLED the battery and I wanted to make sure that I didn't have that with MR2. That may not be the same radio but better safe than sorry. I also didn't want to SIM unlock it to flash the radio alone. Too scared of a Brick I guess. I'll unlock it tomorrow and go to X if for nothing else to get rid of SOD when I run GolfLogix.

Thanks to all!

Thanks Razor. That's good to know. I'm guessing the main reason to change out the radio is for reception? I live in NC, USA and get pretty good reception. Any other benefits to the other radios?

Reception and data speeds are about it.
In my area the new radio does seem to hang onto 3g longer and better that the previous one did.
Im also not seeing the hanging in 1x like I was as bad before either.
But like razor said, X pulled the radio from the MR2 update the day after it was released.
you can flash them and they wont even hard reset your device. (al long as your HSPL unlocked)
So unlock, Flash X's fixed version and try em all out and see which one works best for you.

I've noticed the all settings option is missing.

Is there a way to get to the windows settings? I want to be able to enter the password to unlock my SIM but I am unable to find how to get there. I'd also like to know how to disable sense.

Any help would be great.

Update on my use of Mr. X's fixed MR2. All is wonderful. An excellent ROM, what MR2 should have been. Lots of features, and NO SOD!! Except in one situation :). Initially, before charging, I had turned the display off, then plugged the phone into the charger. When I took the phone off the charger 8 hours later, it would not wake up, and things got worse, it started SODing every time it went to sleep!

Last night, I made sure the display was on when I plugged it in, and in Settings>All Settings>System>Power>Backlight, I made sure that the display was set to never go off when the phone was plugged in. That did the trick, the phone is behaving correctly now, the display cycles on and off as it should...

Tonight I am going to try again to charge it with the display off, but I'm pretty sure there is an issue there, we'll see.

And I am going to give it awhile to wake up, as suggested, it seems to sleep very deeply :)
