Re: Verizon Touch Pro2 MR2 Update includes Sense 2.5

Regarding the memory leak (which I am having as well), the problem is definitely related to Sense 2.5. My free memory was 8MB with nothing running. Switched to Titanium and free memory jumped to 58MB. Go back to Sense and it gave me 28MB free. I know there is overhead with Sense but it shouldn't be leaking with no user application running.

Also, restarting Sense (instead of switching Today screens) might be just as good though I will now have to wait until my phone drips for a while. I tried it when it got down to 20MB free (with Sense running), did a restart of Sense and it bumped it back to 28MB free.

OK. Ran another memory test. Nothing running, TP2 down to 15MB (93% used). Restarted Sense, memory went back up to 26MB (85% used). Not great but better than doing a reset.

That was already set up. But for some reason, the 75 or so friends who are in my address book are not automatically linked in my phone like they were in the MR1 version.

ok i figured it out. go to your People tab, click All People. Then on the bottom there are 5 icons, select the 4th one from the left called "Updates and Events". Then click the "Link Profiles" link.

Thanks for your response. POP3 works that way, but with IMAP there is no option to leave mail on the server, so this wouldn't be the problem. I would like to get this working as it's a really convenient to be able to delete mail from the Sense screen. Maybe I'll try removing the gmail IMAP account and adding it again. Really annoying to see mail you've deleted appear again a few minutes later...

+1 I agree this is really annoying! I delete mail and it is still on the server... Also when I go into account settings on sense mail screen I can't do anything with my hotmail account..

I also am unable to adjust the notification LED... It is greyed out so I can't change the setting.. It just keeps blinking until I either read the mail or delete it...

Anyone have any ideas on a fix?

Anyone know if there's a way to get one of the stock wallpapers on every tab instead of just the home tab? Thanks.

New to the forum here, but have the same memory leak problem. Something I noticed is the Auto Lock Screen uses 8 M. And, each time it is activated, it uses slightly more. That makes no sense... I installed the disable auto lock cab and that alone saves more than 8M. I'll see how it does throughout the day with this disabled. Also, I have no memory leaks using the standard WinMo Today Screen. Agree that it must be something in 2.5.
