Changing number on Sprint
 

Im on sprint right now running Energy ROM. I wanna change my phone number so I'd have to take my phone into a sprint store. You guys think I have to relock and flash back to the stock rom before going to the sprint store?

There has been a lot of discussion on if you need to lock or not. Deffinately flash back to stock before taking your phone in.

just so you know you can call customer service and change your phone number over the phone. They will give you the steps to program your new number, so call them from a phone that is not your sprint cell

IIRC they might have you use "##" codes.... so try to make sure they work, like check to see if you can dial ##786# or something of the like...

yeah you definately do not have to take your phone into the store to change your number. Like it was previously stated just make sure that you call from a phone that is not there cell. They will walk you through the whole process of reprograming your phone. Its take all of like 10 minutes tops.:mrgreen:

You can also install the Sprint tools that come with the stock phone (Update PRL, Update Profile, etc.) and then run Update Profile after the number has been changed. The phone will then program itself and you don't need to do anything else.
