Re: Slingbox question

I got it working on the Mac. The Dish remote has 16 possible addresses whereas the Slingbox assumes only one, but was able to manually select the dish address which solved the problem.

I have not set it up on the TP2 - not sure I will as the laptop is my primary goal.

This is really nice technology for travelers.

if you decide to get it for your tp2, i advise getting the mobile software from windows marketplace. i only had to buy it once ($30), but i can put it both my phones .

Simple answer is you can't ... the slingbox is broadcasting your cable tv to you remotely ... so if you change the channel, you're changing it on the tv your slingbox is connected to ... the key is how you connect your slingbox, you can be creative with splitting the cable and such, but (depending on your cable provider) you'll probably need another set-top-box to display the signal remotely.
