So how (un) reliable is this hardware ?
 

I just got TP2. I did search for h/w problems associated with it. Didn't find many at that time. Then of course I was comparing it with Moment which had many battery life complaints. So now I've had it since Saturday and already read about "rainbow banding" and blue spots on screen. Someone even complained about magnet on case leaving a dark circle on screen, which I never heard of happening. So how reliable is this device ? I intend to keep it for at least 2 years, should I just return it and get something else, or is the majority of users happy with it after months of ownership ? I'm only worried about hw issues, I can deal with problems related to ROM.

I have had mine since the day they where released, no problem whatever & I absolutely LOVE it.

I've had mine since last October, and the only issue Ive ever had was the headphone jack went out on me. Other than that no problems at all. Most of the other hardware "issues" I think are inflicted by mistreatment.

never had any issues with my tp2, we had to replace my wifes once because the mic went out but that's it. its a solid piece of hardware

I have had mine since Sept. 30th, its been rock solid. no hardware issues at all. the only thing that seems to be any kind of hardware issue is the Rainbow but thats been really been the minority. I think all in all pretty darn well built. I think you could easily get several years out of this phone.

Hardware wise, I think HTC really hit a home-run with the TP2.

The TP2 doesn't seem to have ANY of the many problems people reported with the original TP...

Still on my original tp2. manufacture date aug 2009.

Had mine since July of last year. Been through a lot and still looks (almost) and runs like new.
