Active Sync/Battety issue when phone losses signal

Hello everyone, I have been having an issue for the last 2 months with battery draining dramaticly from the Active Sync activating after the phone losses signal. I have Stock Rom with some simple apps that i have determined are not the issue. What i have done is a hard reset and determine that it happens even after a hard reset. It started about 3 weeks after the upgrade i did to 6.5.

So here is the deal, when i am at work, at my desk i lose the signal and when the phone locks back in, the active sync activates and the phone will get pretty hot, after an hour or so. Within that hour or more i check the phone an the battery has been drained from anywhere from 20 to 40%.

I wanted to see if others have had this experiance and is there a way to stop the active sync from coming on.

Oh and i have tried to all the options on the active sync meun and nothing works. Lastly, i have searched the forum and used the active synckillaelias (sorry something like that) and that didnt work either

Thanks for any info/help in advanced!

Re: Active Sync/Battety issue when phone losses signal

The battery drain is probably being caused by the phone dipping in and out of signal. This is a huge draing on the battery (and would explain the heat) when its constantly trying to find a good signal. I don't think that Activesync running in the background would cause that kind of drain.

You might try the SwitchRoamMode cab. When at work, put your phone into roaming only and that might help with your battery issues.

Thanks kliptik, nrfitchett4 for the cab. It worked for me today...I still think the battery sucks so looking for an new battery. I recently installed a new task manger and noticed the active sync always poping up when the phone loses its signal.....I automacticly assumed that it was the Active Sync. I will keep looking into to see if that totally fixes that problem.
