possible to install only wm or CE6.0

I've been looking but cant find anything to just install basic windows mobile or even ce 6.0 as a rom.

I'm looking to have my old touch pro and touch pro 2 have wifi and only run 1 program, netremote. Is it possible to remove everything from the rom including the radio and everything?

I don't think the phone would boot without a radio. The best you could do is probably a stripped rom.

Really? How does everyone get the latest wm release into their roms? I'm assuming they install it then add all the programs and setup all their settings then save it into a rom. Maybe i'm completly off track..

If your not going to use the phone part just turn it off in the COM setting, I have a TP that I just use as a MP3 player and just turn off the phone in the COM manager and go a week before I need to charge it.

thats plan B. I'm hoping I can go a couple days between charges but since it's going to be using wifi I might not get much batt life increase. It's going to become my main whole home remote with netremote connected to girder. It works well with my current tp2 but just trying to have a dedicated device as a "remote"

Ya WIFI is just going to eat that battery don't think you can do much but get a extended battery to help with that.
