Sprint picmail size limit?
 

Hey guys, I've kind of searched around and haven't found anything conclusive...

My wife and I both have Sprint TP2s - and while I never have a problem sending picmail or attaching pictures to MMS, she does. She keeps getting size limit messages where Arcsoft (I think) will tell her the pic is going to be too big, and if she wants, she can resize it.

What's odd to me is that we both have our pic settings maxed out (3M/Super Fine) but I've never had a problem - what it seems like is that my camera is taking more compressed pics...when I look at my pic folder and sort by size, my biggest pic is 784k...hers is like 1.5mb.

We're both running stock ROMs, WM6.5. No cabs installed having to do with the camera.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

Change the following registry settings:

Go to hklm/software/arcsoft/arcsoftmmsua/config/mm1/mmscsetting/samplmmsc
change 4 settings: wap 1and2 send, and wap 1 and 2 receive to 9999999

as above, but samplmmsc2 and make the same changes to the same files as above.

Wait one minute and soft reset.

Thanks guys - so here's my question...I was reading that some of the different carriers have sending/receiving limits, regardless of what you set your phone to - is this true for Sprint?

yes, that is true. i think the limit is 2mb

also check t5he camera settings. she might be taking higher quality pics than you which would effect the filse size.

Sprints mms size limit is 1mb

That's the problem - when she takes pics, they're over 1MB - some are up to 1.5MB.

I guess the real mystery then is what I mentioned before - that both of our camera settings are set to the highest - 3MP/Super Fine, but the max file size in my taken pictures is like 750kb, and hers is 1.5MB.

Do you have yours set to resize when sending?

Yes, whenever mine go over 1000kb i have to resize. In reguards to the picture size differance if you take a picture with your and your wifes phone at the same time the pictures should be the same size
