cdma touch pro 2 stuck at bootscreen
 

hey, i wasn't sure where to post this but i am having trouble with my touch pro2. When I turn it on it gets to the boot screen where it says touch pro 2, then the information in red shows up in the bottom corner and it doesn't move from this screen at all. Any ideas?>

mods will get ya moved, are you stock? i would pull the battery for 5min and if that dont work then hardreset. guess you tried softreset?

had the same problem when i flashed a gsm rom on accident. got lucky i didnt brick it. maybe you did the same? either way, try this: put ur phone into bootloader, hook the usb to your computer and run the stock rom exe (its a sticky). Then you can reflash whatever rom you were running before.. but if this happened after flashing a new rom, id make sure that its cdma before trying it again. i know that sounds silly but mistakes can happen. let me know if this works for you. the downside is you lose all ur info thats not saved, but if ur stuck at the boot screen i wouldn't imagine u have a lot of options.

I agree with the last post too. I did the same thing once and I fixed it the same way too.

i agree.hard-reset,and if that doesnt do the trick then put the device into bootloader mode and reflash stock rom first (u can do a hard-reset here also,it couldnt hurt,but i dont think its absolutely necessary), then flash a CDMA rom that u know is a good,solid rom,and then do anothr hard-reset (this hard-reset is absolutely necessary). thats it. thats always worked for me in the past when i had weird/unique problems that only i had.and as long as ur contacts are saved by Microsofts Myphone or another backup program like PIM backup then ur contacts should be fine.just restore them after u get the device working again.good luck and hopefully someones answer solves ur problem.

Get original stock rom for you phone
take stylus out
take back cover off
press power button + Volume down + reset
hold in power button + volume down till you see multicolored bands
flash stock rom back or my ROM

so i'm having this problem again and i attempt to run the sprint stock exe file with the phone connected in bootloader mode. however the exe fails to work

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; Opera Mini/5.1.21594/20.2477; U; en) Presto/2.5.25)

try using winrar or 7 zip to extract the files from the exe, then try the same thing but run the romupdateutility.exe that was extracted
