Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
Would I be able to upgrade my Htc touch pro 2, into the Htc EVO? for sprint?
|
Re: Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
Sure if you Pay for the EVO anyone can upgrade to it. Sprint is not just going to give you a new phone cause you want it.

Re: Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
of course...
1)pay for it.. 2)if your on a 69.99 plan or higher and have been for more than 3 months you get Premier status automatically.. if its been 12months with those requirements, you could be eligible for upgrade and not even know.. 3) some people have had luck calling in and saying their willing to resign a contract NOW if theyll give them upgrade elgibility.. **one user claims he was 6months away and they did this for him, now hes getting an EVO) so theres some options for ya... **edit** also if your TP2 is in good condition with all the cords, manuals, etc Best BUy will give you around $175 for it in a gift card - easily used towards the Evo price... NOte - if u want cash, its half as much they give you almost |
Re: Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
Alright, so I have had the TP2 for like 4 months now, and been on a contract for a year and 2 months..Is there like any possibility that I can trade it in for the Evo? Or upgrade w/e?

Re: Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
I can't get 1 :( I have a 7 line plan from years and years ago.I am a 11 year sprint customer but i can't add it to my account cause of the SE requirement. It always gets me cause i have free unlimited internet on my account. They told me the best i could do would be to add a new account so i would have 2 accounts. But then i would have a extra line i do not need.By dropping 1 of the lines on my 7 line plan it saves me nothing cause my added phones on that plan cost nothing. After all the discounts and such i only pay 140$ per month for the 7 lines.
I would love 1 but i am stuck with the tp2 cause there is noway to do this unless i want to pay after discounts 50$ a month and then have 1 phones. |
Re: Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
Rant On
Sprint is in the business of making money not giving away free hardware and free service. If you where in the service industry and you made money by having subscribers and selling hardware how long would your business run if you gave it all away for free or gave the service away for less than what it cost you. Ya bargain's are great but Come on people Pay for what you get and Pay for the service you use so that the service WILL still be around. Rant off. |
Re: Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
Do not mind paying for the phone but not for 50% extra a month and having a extra phone.

If you want a free swap to it you can count that out. Even if the TP2 was discontinued and you did the swap at the right time these forums get flooded with you wouldn't get an EVO. The EVO is not a comparable phone to the Touch Pro 2 in the eyes of Sprint. The TP2 is a business phone and the EVO is a consumer phone. So the only way is to BUY IT! And guess what? You knew that before you came here. As after all, that's how our society works. We reward those who make or do stuff of value to us by paying them money. Our society isn't built on theft. Quote:
TCO includes the price you pay for the hardware, the service to power the phone, any accessories you need for it, etc. It includes every dollar you have to spend to use and maintain that device over the lifetime of the device. If the TCO of the phone exceeds the value to you then you don't buy it... |

Copied below from a WIKI To have one's cake and eat it too is a popular English idiomatic proverb or figure of speech, sometimes stated as eat one's cake and have it too or simply have one's cake and eat it. It is most often used negatively, meaning an individual owning a thing, and still attempting to benefit from or use it. It may also indicate having or wanting more than one can handle or deserve, or trying to have two incompatible things. The proverb's meaning is similar to the phrases, "you can't have it both ways" and "you can't have the best of both worlds." As an example, an individual who is engaged to marry someone but is still dating others romantically would be said to be having one's cake and eating it too. |

Re: Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
IF you trade the phone to best buy online with there deal tree option you didn't have to buy it at best buy. I assume it just takes longer to process.

Re: Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
as anyone done the tradein option through best buy?
If so, what was the experience??? |

Re: Would I be able to upgrade my Touch pro 2?
this thread is really going no where. as everyone is saying, you cannot swap the tp2 for the evo. but yes sprint will take your tp2 in something like a trade in program. not necessarily to trade in for the evo but they will give you money for your old phones. dont know how much but call your local sprint store and ask them. although you can probably make more money by selling the phone on craigslist to pay for the evo.
question answered (numerous times) so please close this thread. |
