I have been reading about this one for a while, looks like it still has some issues to work out, I have not tried it yet but if anyone has would love to hear some feedback on it.

And this will work the same on the TP2 like Hd2?

I like the screen shots and what they been showing on XDA on this.

Hope they can work out the bugs then I will install to TP2 wm6.5 rom....hopefully it fixes the lag like they say it does.

if I install this is it gonna mess up my sprint MMS and picture mail that I have working on my TP2?

The only True blue answer is to install it or READ the entire thread over at XDA. Everyone's setup is going to be different. when you have people running multiple version's of ROM's with different settings no one is going to get the same result's. if everyone was running the exact same setup you are going to experience the same thing. again the only way to find out is to try it just make a backup before you do and there are no worries if it does not, just restore you backup and your good to go.

Looks pretty sweet. I think i will follow this and hopefully they get the bugs worked out. And make the install a little simpler, including gettting the english send button (maybe someone here at ppcgeeks)

well, after reading all the posts on xda, this is ONLY for 2.5 sense.

Its a wash wether this actaully fixes the lag or not. Some say yes, others say no.

THere are 2 versions of this on that xda form, 20143625 and 20142622.

build 2622 has the secure box and works.
build 3625 does not have the secure box but everything else works.

Someone try it with sprint...lol i read all 21 pages on xda no sprinters have yet. i dont think it will for us. only because we gotta disable htc messaging to get mms to function correctly. unless this upgrade fixes that. so someone test for sprint. im to lazy too ...

I am on the 2622 version and have sprint phone.
I had to install the Dll file for the "securebox option".
These versions are the best HTC messaging versions out so far, BUT the not 100% working because of no MMS.
This type of newer HTC messaging was already cooked in "Zone" roms (no mms version).

I tried to get MMs working by removing & re-installing Sprint mms.
I even tried re-installing carrier cab. also tried arcsoft, no no avail.
So I just use third party app called "sMMS".

As for speed, sorry you will have same performance, BUT it will be much more functional than what you have with current sprint versions.

So dont be scared & backup your PIM and try it out.
You will be happy anyway.

I too amkeeping an eye on this one. fact is a lot of HD2 stuff has been getting ported for tp2.

I've used this a few days. It's definitely faster than earlier version, but it's not without its problems. It can still be slow. I have Sprint, so it can only be configured to receive MMS messages. Also, it has some quirks, for example, I get blank messages from "VoiceMailSystem" whenever someone leaves me a voicemail. Sometimes it would get busy "thinking" and cause SOD, or at least temporary SOD's.

All in all, it's definitely close, but no cigar. I reverted back to WM messaging for now. The performance is acceptable, but the bugs eventually turn into a dealbreaker.

How do you switch back to WM messaging but keep using Sense? I have sense 2.5, the only thing I don't like is the messaging hang ups...I'd like to keep using sense but use WM messaging ...
