Best tweaks and mods for stock WinMo 6.5 on TP2
 

Just wondering what the best tweaks and mods for TP2 with stock WinMo 6.5? Not sure if I like 6.5 yet.. But I thought I'd check to see what others had done with it. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to phone mods.. I've got Sprint PCS also..

The best Mod starts with the SEARCH BUTTON. now that I have that out of the way, it depends on what kind of interface you are going to use like Sense UI or MobileShell or Titanium. I would take some time and look through the Home page thread and it will give you a lot of ideas what you can use and what you can do.

Cookie's home tab editor makes that boring a$$ lame today screen sexy. but like wesley said do a search & just do remember that cabs which worked on 6.1 dont always mingle with 6.5

I see your point. I guess that just goes to show how new to this I am. I was just fishing for ideas. I wanted to know what other TP2 owners had done. It seems that ever since I upgraded to 6.5, my phone runs a bit slower.

yea slower it is. ur not imagining lol ... the masses will say flash a custom rom so unless u can deal with how it is stock then flash. but i reead of issues even on custom roms & the constant reflash n hard resets isnt my cup of tea. to each his own.

Not into that either. I did see a post with the original 6.1 rom in it. What tweaks would you suggest for a guy who just wants to stay (mostly) stock?

well i know with 6.5 i have alot less stuff installed then 6.1 .. ive had to hard reset to many times trying to make this device something it cant be after the upgrade. i installed bsb tweaks & hd tweak & changed some settings to my preference & installed Cookies home tab editor like mentioned above. that just gave me a different look to the today screen but its alot better in my opinion then stock. i dont have any performance related cabs or ones that claim to speed it up. i really cant recommend any cuz ive given up on it since it only caused frustration. i just wanted a phone out of the box that was reliable & never had that since using winmo

if you wanna mod thatll make all your friends head spin... look into dual booting with and runnin Android on your TP2.... my friends that have android still cant get over this one

You should contemplate building your own custom ROM.I know it sounds like a daunting task, but honestly it is fairly simple. Visual kitchens make it extremely easy to extract your favorite ROM and get to including only the files you want. If you PM me i'll point you in the right direction.
