Before when I had the Sprint Touch Pro 1, i could easily switch between hybrid, evdo, or 1x mode. Now that I am on the Sprint Touch Pro 2, I cannot find that setting.

Could someone please tell me how I can force my phone to stay in 1x?

that forces 1x, what else do you want..

if your just trying to avoid calls while data is active, then goto phone>menu>options>cdma services>ddtm mode

I don't think any one is understanding my question. I am not interested in turning off my internet connection. I get really bad reception at my house and get a delay in receiving text messages so when I had the touch pro I simply went into the Dialer Options and switched from Hybrid (Both EVDO And 1x) to simply 1x. Please do not confuse evdo with only internet and 1x with only voice/messaging.

EVDO is only for data. The phone will switch to 1x automatically when you initiate a voice call or send a text message. Watch the indicator when you text or make a call if you don't believe me.
