Does the speed evox2.cab actually work on the tp2

i have the sprint tp2 and i installed the speed evox2.cab thinking it was going to make my internet faster but i really dont see a difference ive checked the speed couple times like when i have full bars and when i dont have such a great reception and i didnt make a difference on my phone. Does it matter if i install it on the storage card o directly to the phone?

Install In device only. While you're at it, post the cab here for others.

I've used this cab. It gives a slight increase, nothing dramatic.

Really the only thing thats going to make the internet faster is a better signal, plain and simple.

A better signal, or buy an EVO/Incredible and use it in a 4G zone. I think all that cab realy does is tweak some browser/internet settings like max connections per server and set opendns servers. Not sure though.

I rather wait for Sprint's evo4 but really im gonna wait till sprint comes out with a 4g device with a hard keyboard before i change from my tp2

If your expecting major speed improvements you will be dissapointed. But any improvement is good for me.
Here is what it does:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings

Value name: MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
Value data: 32
Base: Decimal

Value Name: MaxConnectionsPerServer
Value data: 16
Base: Decimal

Let me clarify things. If you did a speed test with this tweak and your speed say is 1200,

then an hour later its average is 900, its your network. its simply overlaoded.=

( alot of people are using the data service at the same time you are killing bandwidth)

now say with out the tweak your average is 900, when your network becomes overloaded it will be some where at 500 or lower.

conculsion: it still increases speed on peak hours and off peak hours.
