Auto Launch Music Player When Inserting Headphones?

Is there any application out there that will launch a music player, or any program when headphones are inserted into the headphone jack?

That thread seems to be discussing an issue with volume control.

My question is directed to having an app that will run in the background and as soon as headphones are inserted into the headphone jack, the program would automatically launch a user-set application. http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/8301/tfrd.gif
