Background, any files / roms / things i have done to my phone have come from here or xda.....

i notice while poking aroung using file explorer that in the temp directory off of the ROOT that a file which is called screenshot was located there.
i looked at the file and it was in fact a screenshot of a page i was visiting,

and opera was the browser i was using, i used ie and well no screenshot...

so somebody on either site has put some mal / spy / identity theft measure in one of there roms / files..

call me crazy but i don't think opera is supossed to do that

btw my installed items are

htc animation welcome screen
microsoft my phone
microsoft market place
microsoft office mobile
sprint touch pro 2 cleanup "thinking of dumping this"

and i flashed the [hone to use the old 'boot" screen, the black one instead of the new white/green

That is friggin crazy, so a prog ,file, a malware....is taking SS of pages you visited and putting it in your directory? just trying to understand this isht,nomsayin:dontknow:...all is possible:toothy10:

I believe Opera is supposed to do that so it can place thumbnail previews of your bookmarks in the Sense UI Internet tab.

Check the file date and see if it changes. This will help determine if it was a single screenshot (by Opera, for instance) or an ongoing problem.

i am thinking of flashing back to factory 6.5 and then go from there.
i need to pull the registry from the phone and look at it. i am just learning.

thats what it looks like to me...but i am new to windows mobile and it's environments...i wish there was a phone simulator so you you test out the files and phone functions before putting it on your phone and taking all the risks in a live envirnoment...

i know with home theater remote controls such as pronto etc.. you can test your programming before putting it on the device.

it just scares the crap out of me, when i see certain things i put the paranoid suit on....just one file which changes for every page i visit, so it is over writing itself...

so i guess i will cancel the chicken little and the sky is falling mode... :)

it does it for me too... and i didn't install anything after a stock flash.
