Verizon TP2 freezing - HELP!

I am running WinMo 6.5 and the newest SPB Mobile Shell.

For some reason, 50% of the time, after viewing or sending a text, my tp2 freezes. I'll hit the X button to get out of the text and go back to the list of all texts. At this point the screen freezes for about 2 minutes. It gets to a point sometimes where I have to remove the battery. Any idea why this happens?

FYI - it used to happen when I had 6.1 (i just updated last week) but never as much as it's doing it now. Thanks!

A TP2 with freezing issues?!?! WHAT?!?!

I would try flashing a different ROM. If the soft reset isn't working, the fresh flash should do the trick

This is an issue with ALL 6.5 builds. There is no real "fix" for it. There are pretty much 2 options for dealing with it:

1) Turn off "Threaded View" for texts
2) Don't let a ton of texts pile up within a conversation. Delete them. I archive my texts on MyPhone about once a week. The more texts in the conversation, the longer the lag

Prolly not exactly what you wanted to hear, but it is what it is...

I had to stop using SPB. kept crashing my phone. I use Co0kie in mine & cook it in. Not so much clutter as there is with spb

I would say you have to many Text messages on your phone, but thats just my guess. try archiving them and see if the problem persists.

Actually it was. I contacted SPB about the issue and tried it on 2 diff versions of 6.5. they appologized and said I get a free key to a program. they never did honor that.. bassards.. according to them it wasnt compatible. and while they fixed it since then to run on 6.5.3... it might be a recurring issue with 6.5.5.. I gave up on them and since co0kie came out, it gives me what i need.

To me it is. Get the latest. You can have up to 6 scrollable pages, personalize your layout on both home screens & lock screens. Hide empty short cuts, the frames to them, text. choice of 3 different screen locks, show lock button etc.

you can even map programs for the notification bar.

so you are saying that sense 2.5 with cht uses less space then mobile shell? I have a hard time believing that.
sense 2.5 with cht in my kitchen is composed of 50-60mb of memory.
mobile shell, 10.8mb.
