E-Mail Issues
First off, Sprint stock rom 6.5...
I have 2 email accounts set up on my phone, an AOL account and a Yahoo account. Both accounts have roughly 2000 emails in my inbox. They are read, but the emails sit in my inbox for no other reason than I'm too lazy to archive. There's really no need to since I have a space for them. When I added my email accounts to my phone, I have it download only emails from today. My AOL account works just fine and only pushes new emails that I received today. My Yahoo one, will start off by only pushing new emails from today, but after a couple days, it decides to push my entire inbox. My phone gets clogged up with 2000 emails and pretty much becomes unresponsive due to no available memory. Sometimes I can get the phone to work with a soft reset and then I'm able to delete the whole Yahoo account, but I have once had to do a hard reset, because nothing would make my phone responsive. It was pretty much a brick. I've tried all settings and it just makes no sense why it keeps pushing my entire inbox. I could archive my Yahoo email, but yahoo is a pain and only lets you do 25 at a time. Moving 2000 emails 25 at a time is not my idea of a fun night. Anyone else have these issues or have any suggestions on how I could solve this problem? |
Re: E-Mail Issues
Sounds like it's time to clean out that e-mail. there was a tread about Yahoo e-mail doing this a few days ago (or in one of the threads around here) and sounds like there was no sure fire fix.

Off to Yahoo now ](*,) *** That actually wasn't too painful, since I found out I could change the default to show 200 e-mails at a time. it was a relatively easy, painless fix :D |

Re: E-Mail Issues
I have the same exact problem. I have been following this for about 3 months and it appears that it is a stock rom issue. This has occurred on all my mightyrom sprint versions I've tried. But, its not mighty causing the problem. It appears that it is a sprint rom problem. It usually is pretty stable for about a month and then for some unexplainable reason (I can't find a pattern) the phone decides to download all my yahoo email and locks it up. Deleting/resetting up the account helps but that takes a long time too. I guess the only fix is to clean out the yahoo inbox. Yuk!
