my location will not update
 

my location not updating. verizon tp2. was working on energy's 04-01 cookie release. flashed to BiGAdAd and now my location will not update. have flashed back to verizon stock and tried several different customs but my location seem broken. any fix out there?

not sure about vzw, but under quickgps (start>tools>quickgps) are all the options selected? also try downloading the satellite data from there first if you haven't already tried that, and make sure google gps is enabled in options, (you have to agree to their TOS first).

yeah. i've made sure every gps "turned on" option is turned on and made sure there are no options enabled for decline location services

ok, so after not finding anything for this and driving in a 45 mile radius for testing - i gave up and called verizon. they were clueless. getting a replacement on tues-wed

ok, so after replacement #1, getting passed off to htc, passed back off to verizon, sent to the store, network ticket #1, replacement #2, network ticket #2 - verizon could not figure out how to fix the issue and offered me(good for today only - supposedly) any new-in-box phone i wanted directly from the store. i walked out with the moto droid. AND - best of all, i didn't have to return my tp2!

How did you walk out of the store with a Droid? Was this given for free? Two year pricing? Ive had 4 different Touch Pros 2 to date and they said they cannot do anything for me. I have to just keep getting replacements.

after the 2nd network trouble ticket not resolving the issue, the network tech/rep noted my account that a corp store had to give me any phone of my choice - free, new-in-box, no contract renewal. some sort of manager approved discount

Lucky you. I've wanted to switch since my first replacement way back in November. Now I'm stuck with getting worthless replacements until my contract is up....in a year and a half.

my location did the same and I have sprint.hmm..a soft reset fixed it but still!
