Sense 2.5 Soft Keys

I've looked around but have not found a WORKING cab to change the soft keys in SENSE 2.5. I've found many that will change Titanium soft keys, and others that were supposed to change the Sense ones, but did not work.

Has anybody had any success with this?

Re: Sense 2.5 Soft Keys

have you tried this one:

Change Left or Right Softkeys in Manila
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila

For Right Softkey (for example, setting it to Comm Manager):
"HomeRSKText"="Comm Mgr"
"HomeRSKPath"=\Windows\CommManager.exe

For Left Softkey (for example, setting it to All Contacts)"
"HomeLSKText"="All Contacts"
"HomeLSKPath"=Manila:/people\browserlayer\?.page

The left softkey change doesn't work on Sprint. The path raises an error, as shown in the photo below:

Re: Sense 2.5 Soft Keys

you can use advanced config or hdtweaks, but the first one seems to cause me other problems.

Is there any way to just remove them all together?

on sense 2.5 i just disabled the right softkey by using advancedconfig and going to more options>key mapping. select right soft key, leave the path blank and change the title to ____ or whatever you like. it should now not function and not give an error msg like posted earlier in this thread. the left soft key cannot be changed or removed, it is the homescreen menu button.

Re: Sense 2.5 Soft Keys

Here is the registry info for the softkeys:
Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila]
"IsWM6.5"=dword:00000001
"HomeRSKText"="Camera"
"HomeRSKPath"="\\Windows\\camera.exe"
"HomeLSKText"="Contacts"
"HomeLSKPath"="\\Windows\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Productivity\\Contacts.lnk"

As far as removing them, you can install a program called "DoNothing" that basically creates an executable file that does... nothing. I can't seem to find it though. Once you have it installed, you can direct the softkeys to the .exe, and replace the text with whatever you want.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will be trying these sometime later today! I'll let everyone know if I have any success.
