Is it possible to set custom ringtones?

Can we set custom ringtones on the Touch Pro 2, and if we can can they be mp3 files? Thanks for any help.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

Yes save the file mp3 to your sd card then copy and paste the file to your ringtone folder under my device. then all you have to do is look under your ringtones and that file should be there.

sure you can, i do it all the time.

step 1. move mp3 to phone either thru usb cable bluetooth or e-mail

Step 2. Open mp3 trimmer on your phone

Step 3. Open the song you want

Step 4. trim it down to the part of the song you want as ring tone.

Step 5. Save it

Step 6. Set it

Step 7. Click the thanks button on this post (LOL)

Step 8. enjoy!

Step 9. msg me if you need more help!

All ringtones can be stored on your SD card in My Documents/My Rintones Your phone will be able to see them. Never have to copy them over.

It is true that you do not need to copy them over to your device, but I STRONGLY advise that you do. Keeping them on your storage card means that once the phone receives an incoming call signal, it must wake up, access the SD card, load the ringtone from the card (which has a slower access speed than the internal storage), then play the ringtone. The delay could mean you have less time to answer a call.

Also, it has been reported that having ringtones on the storage card is linked to freezing, and this was the case on older devices like the Apache and Mogul. However, I'm not sure about the freezing issues on newer devices like the TP2.
