Yes save the file mp3 to your sd card then copy and paste the file to your ringtone folder under my device. then all you have to do is look under your ringtones and that file should be there. |

All ringtones can be stored on your SD card in My Documents/My Rintones Your phone will be able to see them. Never have to copy them over.

Re: Is it possible to set custom ringtones?
It is true that you do not need to copy them over to your device, but I STRONGLY advise that you do. Keeping them on your storage card means that once the phone receives an incoming call signal, it must wake up, access the SD card, load the ringtone from the card (which has a slower access speed than the internal storage), then play the ringtone. The delay could mean you have less time to answer a call.
Also, it has been reported that having ringtones on the storage card is linked to freezing, and this was the case on older devices like the Apache and Mogul. However, I'm not sure about the freezing issues on newer devices like the TP2. |
