Can't create or send new text message
 

For some reason, when I select the "New" tab on the Messaging screen, it takes me to a screen where I'm asked to select text message, my email accounts, or SMS/MMS. When I select "Text message", it takes me to a listing of all my text messages, but when I select "New", it just hangs up with "Text messages" replacing the "Start" logo on the top left corner. Neither new nor "reply" to any of the messages work. I've performed multiple soft resets. Any help would be appreciated.

What have you installed on your ROM?
Is the OS: stock or custom or tweaked?

I had that issue with a ROM I built and it turned out I didn't include a needed package in the ROM, but you are on stock, right? "Webview" was what I was not adding. Maybe something you are installing is messing with your Webview. I would hard reset and make sure messaging works, then add you cabs one at a time, testing messaging each time until you pinpoint the problem.

Hope this helps a little. I cook my own stuff, but am no way a chef like some of these other guys on here. I know enough to get in trouble, but not enough to be a big help.

I'm using a custom ROM (MightyRom 03212010), and it used to work before.

after i did a clear storage to maybe speed up this turtle i call a phone, i installed a few cabs i didnt previously when i upgraded to 6.5 & had same issue u speak of. but i didnt try to figure out which one after the hard reset i again had to do to reverse this problem. only things i have that you do is the task manager & total commander so id like to ASSume they arent causing u any harm. whats in tp2 tweaks ? maybe something in there ? idk jus throwin out a thought
