Disable the virutal keyboard please!
 

I am running Mobile Shell 3.5 on a stock 6.5 ROM with Sprint and when i get a text the virtual keyboard in portriat mode pops up on my home screen. This is so annoying! Can any 1 please help?

just make this regedit and you're good to go.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip]
"TurnOffAutoDeploy"=dword:00000001

is there a .cab file or registry hack that keeps the virtual keyboard from ever popping up? I'd like to be able to activate it manually instead of it popping up on its own........I installed the above cab with no success.

the cab works perfect. you probably just have to do a soft reset afterwards
