REstoring Backup Files & New ROMs
 

I am running 6.1 on my TP2 and I have an entire backup using SPB Backup.

1. Once I update the ROM to Sprint's new release (WM6.5), can I import my backup file (even though it was made while I was running WM6.1)? Or do I have to reinstall each cab and redo all my settings?

2. How do I save my current ROM in case I don't like the newest build?

3. Any suggestions before I embark on the upgrade would be MUCH APPRECIATED.

Just dont import any reg from 6.1 to 6.5. Well you can, but you would have to know which ones 6.5 doesnt like!

I use Sprite backup and it gives several options
- ROM upgrade option
- Device Upgrade option
- Safe
Most of the times, it itself detects and selects the right option. I have done it million times (the simpler option when no WM/Device change that is)
