Deleting a program

Hi!
Big time noob here (seriously, this is day one with WM) - great site!
I have installed the new Opera 10, but can't figure out how to delete Opera 9.5. ](*,)

I will say though that I was thrilled today when my Verizon phone arrive with WM 6.5 on it.

Thanks for your help and looking forward to getting to know you. This Windows Mobile is quite overwhelming to me today!

Welcome man, u cant delete that as it is built in the ROM. that is why you can use a custome ROM....but too early for you besides you may not need to.

Re: Deleting a program

if you are really really ambitious, you can but i would suggest reading a little more and finding how the win mobile system is run.....if you have a general understanding of the file system, send me a PM and ill tell you how to delete Opera 9.5.

I would also suggest seeing about installing Opera Mini 5...its much faster than anything out there. but that might be in your future

Welcome to your new addiction

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the responses! I really appreciate it!
I'll just leave it on there for now, I hadn't realized it was an integral part of the system.

Is Opera Mini 5 better than 10 for the phone then in your opinion? ( I hope I haven't opened a can of worms here!)

Hey man, like P said, Opera Mini is the speediest ,most stable of all. You can on your TP go to opera.com and dowload it sraight from there. You will save the cab to your SD card, and then go back with your file explorer and run it from there. Nothing will overwrite anything...try it. You wont be disappointed. That is my main browser:mrgreen:
