Weather Problem, WHAAAAAAAAT
 

Hi Guys,
I just updated to 6.5 yesterday, STOCK Sprint Rom.

anyways,
I put my weather to "Enable My Location", and it is pulling the weather from Beverly Hill, CA. I live in OHIO.
I disabled my location from the settings menu, and it still have beverly hills.
Is there anyway to either get this right, ie In OHio, or remove Beverly Hills so that I can manually add my city.
I tried to remove Beverly Hills but couldnt.

try running quickGPS. and go to Start/Settings/System/AGPS Settings and enable that.
Then go to the Settings tab in manila and click location and turn it on.
Then soft reset and try again

Also, if you can, update via WiFi, as it will get your location via GPS whereas it usually gets your location via the cell tower you're connected to.

Hey Yearn,
I tried Quick GPS, same result.
Also, I can't find the AGPS settings in the settings/system menu.

the phone knows where I am, I used Bing and got my GPS location. Also, I just updated quickGPS.

Any other suggestions?

It won't let you add any new locations?
Is the time set to your location or did you set the time for the phone yourself?

And if all else fails, Being that you just upgraded yesterday, i would try a Clear Storage and reset to see if that clears out anything that might have been left behind from before. When i first upgraded i didn't do a clear storage after and had different issues until i did.

I have this same problem except I live in Iowa and my gps thinks im in Seattle, Washington... I spoke in depth with my local carrier which is us cellular, then talked to tech support for about an hour and we tried as much as we could think of and finally the main tech guy said a higher up told him this an issue with certain tp2 devices. They don't know what causes it but it is something to do with the weather, and i tried to talk him into sending me a new phone haha but of course, they wern't having that. So, basically he told im just gonna have to deal with it until they hopefully find a fix. For the meantime I just have to make sure its the right time, and uncheck the boxes that update with weather/location/etc and hope they fix it soon!

No, the problem is that it added Beverly Hills as my location, even tho im in ohio. I disabled the "my location" feature and now can't delete Bev Hill.s

There's an app to add your own city/town, you just have to mod a manila file. Lemme see if I can dig it up.
