flexmail alternative

Did a search before posting, some articles that address what I'm asking are a bit out-of-date. Here's my history so far:

nPop, works well, but not supported or updated, kind of tough to get it work as expected and out of date.

Qmail (I think that's what it's called), it downloaded all messages from the server and didn't leave them there, very old program, not very customizable

Flexmail this may have been a good application at one time, it hasn't changed with the times. It has no touch mode, which means scrolling through messages is awkwardly using the stylus or the very thin (yes, I know i can expand it, but isn't that why we have touchmode so we can use our fingers instead to scroll?) scrollbar on the right of the message list window. This is enough to make me want to stop using this (using it currently) Oh, and the way it also tries to download the entire message and freezes the rest of the application while doing so.

Profimail NOT good at all. If you want to send a message, the application doesn't simply send and then since you've already opened a connection, check for new messages, it just sends the message which means you have to manually send/receive. WHY? It's an annoying 2-step proces to do what every other program does in one. Plus, it doesn't do autocorrect no mater what ever else is set in the device.

Pocket Outlook In my opinion, HTC/Sprint ruined it after the TouchPro. It is worse than useless. the stupid select > select all below or select mutiple is dumb dumb dumb and making me sift through a menu to get to where I was before is a waste of time.

So, does anyone have a suggestion for a good Flexmail alternative? I know that there has to be a good alternative out there. I did a google search for "Flexmail Alternative" and besides a few reviews from a few years ago, goes into lots of links for garbage I don't want.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I have gone through many of them also and found none. I like FlexMail; however, it has problems working with Everyone.net. An email is ready to go out and it just sits there, the message does not go out, the device slows to a crawl and the battery over heats. I use Pocket Outlook.

Pocket Outlook was my answer.. Its not bad having to select/select all for me. But then I use gmail so i can mass delete and not worry about losin any messages. I just wish it wasnt a two step process to download pics. That is a bit lame. One screen press should be all that is necessary

Have you tried Seven beta? It seems to work nicely for what I have tried.

I was a longtime user of Flexmail and have settled recently on ProfiMail, which I find to be much more user and finger friendly...based on your review, I'd say you are missing some key settings changes... mine sends immediately and uploads to my gmail server... deletes and syncs are instant as well... it does everything I got from Flexmail in a more intuitive format... my two cents...

You have a cab file for this? I went to the site, turns out I had signed up to be a beta tester in 2007 and the software wasn't ready yet. Forgot all about it. Yet, their download page times out.

Hi,

Do you know for sure if this is compatible with the TP2? The link where (by the way their links are all screwed up on the Seven site) they tell you to go to Sprint Email to see if your device is compatible:

http://www.nextel.com/en/services/email/mail.shtml

has a list of compatible phones and the only HTC one is the Touch.

My configuration from the cab you provided (thank you by the way) hangs and just says first "Verifying device" when I cancel out of that after 10 minutes, it asks me to enter my phone number and then hangs on "verifying phone number" ugh, what a nightmare. Is it really worth all this trouble?

WHY can't anyone make a decent email client for WM?

I've used it on my TP2 before. Sometimes the verifying device can take a while on mine as well. I flashed recently so i'll try installing it again and see whats up.

*edit*
I think it might just be their servers being down. Their website doesn't even load right now.

I gave up. Now I seem to recall 3 years ago when I had a Palm Treo 700wx (don't hate me, I hated myself enough for having that), this application didn't work then either.
