Sprint 6.5 Update Fails Connection Error
 

I'm trying to install the Sprint 6.5 Stock Rom and I keep getting a Connection error. Active Sync seems to be working ok - it is connected when I start the update and then when it comes to the point where the update starts the connection drops out and I get a connection error. Have tried several times to reboot computer and device.](*,)

if you are using Vista or windows 7, right click on the installer and try selecting "Run as Administrator" :)

Thanks for your reply No, I'm using XP. I called Sprint and they say it's a known issue and you have to bring it into a store, but I'm thinking it must be some setting I need to change. Has anyone successfully installed using XP. I'm doing this on a virtual machine but I don't think it should matter.

Yes. I installed from my laptop, running Window XP, Service Pack 3. Just followed the directions on the HTC website, and all went smoothly.

Hmmm. I'm running the same. Could you tell me the version of of Active Sync you have and settings? Thanks.

Maybe you need to reboot your pc. I have XP with active Sync 4.5. and 6.5 went up not problems

I have rebooted twice. Maybe three's a charm. I'll try again. Any special settings for Active Sync? I have it to sync via USB and it works for everything else. It just disconnects when it starts the update.

No luck. Looks like I will have to have Sprint do it. Is there any other way to do this? I have a mac.
