easiest way is to copy pim file on the root of your device and put in sd card then after flash just put it back to root of device.it will save contact/pics but not the favorite people because that tab completely changes in the upgrade.

Jeeeeeze, ight... so what would YOU personally reccomend I do? what is the easiest way to go? Without having to manually put contacts back lol
Edit: Ok I think I've used PIM backup before... problem was I didnt know where the file went, or how to put that information back into my phone after the hard reset

use microsoft myphone as already said. its on microsofts site. very easy to use

Dude just use google contacts and activesync. Set it once, then whenever you switch a ROM or device, just sync and all your contacts are magically back. Best thing I ever did was switch email and all to google.

the pim files goes in \my device, not in any folder... i used myphone and its already preinstalled in 6.5 update. it WILL erase everything on the device but it WONT erase anything on your memory card unless you select that option... i just selected contacts.

just wanted to warn op that fat32 will wipe his card and if hes sdflashing fat32 is needed.

Nah, I just used PIM backup.. I messed with it for awhile and figured it out... pretty easy actually. I just never saw the RESTORE option when I had messed with it before. WinMo 6.5 is weird to me lol, I cant even find CONTACTS I have to press the phone key to see my contact list. Anyone have a easier way?

i used softkey manager, you can put contacts on the home screen...here's all the tp2 cabs from the tp2 hacks and tweaks thread, softkey is in here, don't go crazy with all the cabs lol http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/misc.php?d...hments&t=78019
