changing front apps

In 6.5 stock sprint rom, how do you go about adding different apps on the home screen rather than the ones that got put there on there own, also, can you make the icons smaller so u can fit more than just three without having to scroll down?

Co0Kies Home tab cab would be the most useful for you I think.
