verizon touch pro 2 mms problems
 

I have downloaded the newest mightyrom and it is awesome fast everything i expected from him.. however no mms.. I can not even flash back to my original vzw rom that came on the phone..I seriously need some help if anyone knows please email me crazyburner02@gmail.com

Verizon MMS is not working on any ROM I flash, none of the fixes are working for me either...

Why cant you flash back? There are links to the stock roms.

Try these. I usually have trouble with MMS so I download fixes. I have all of these installed on my Verizon TP2 running the newest MightyRom and everything is working fine. The first one is the latest one

I installed all three of these and now my MMS works! Thank you for the help -- I've tried nearly a dozen other suggestions and nothing else worked.

I have a question -- and this is NOT meant to rag on any ROM Chefs. They know much more than I ever will about some things -- this is purely a question:

What is it about MMS that causes so much trouble in aftermarket ROMS? The Chefs seem to do really amazing things with our phones, but MMS seems to always be a stumbling block.

Don't quote me on this but I believe its because every rom would have to be carrier specific. Since most custom roms are built universal, you have to install cabs specific for each carrier. Roms will run alot better when cabs are cooked into a rom. Alot of times cabs like the ones posted above are glitchy so you have to do some searching sometimes to find the right ones.

Apache, That makes sense, even if it's nowhere near correct :-)

Ya know, I don't know a thing about cooking ROM's, but I've taken a lot of knowledge from this community and I'd love to give something back.

If somehow I could get hold of the information, I'd be willing to compile the data and make what could be an MMS FAQ for a sticky or something. Basically saying "if you have x carrier and y phone running z rom, you need THIS cab to fix your MMS." (or something like that.)

Of course as I type that out, I realize the sad reality that by the time I completed that project, the Touch Pro 4 would be on the verge of obsolescence.....
