Cannot install program
 

This is really weird. I tried to install several TomTom 7 cabs, and it would not go through. I used the official cab fot TP2 and several other versions from this forum. The phone just says 'installing cab', but the status bar does not fill in. I waited for about 30min, but no luck. I tried to hard reset, but again the same thing. Same thing on the 6.1 official Sprint ROM. Now I am on 6.5 stock Sprint. Tried to install right after hard reset, nothing else installed.

Had no problem using same cabs on my old TP1.

Any ideas??? Something wrong with the phone? I can install other cabs and programs without any issues.

try waiting a long time like overnight. it is a HUGE file.

Are you installing it to the device directly or to the SD card?

I will do that. In the past, on TP1, it would be done in 10-15 min or so.

It might be too big. Some of the maps are RIDICULOUSLY huge as tomtom has the maps right there....not like google maps that downloads the maps as it goes.

I am nor sure I understand correctly. I just tried to install the program cab only (14 MB or so). Maps are on the storage card. Would they be installed as well at the same time? If that is the case, I can completely remove the maps and then put them back after the program file is installed???

I am pretty sure I used the same process on TP1, and it was failrly quick???
