Is there an external Mic that we can use with our phones?
 

One that will make you be able to record like a presentation or something? Just sound, nothing else. The builtin mic works well, for bring builtin. But not good enough to record from the middle of an auditorium. Any ideas? I searched and only came up with normal hands free sets.

Hmmm. I doubt it. I'm thinking that if a mic was to work you'd be best looking at bluetooth maybe? I can't imagine a 3.5mm mic would work in the output port. just my $.02

I didn't know if it would or not. I thought that ours was an IO port. Where you can hook up a wired headset, but I could be wrong. That was just an assumption of mine. I couldn't find anything bluetooth in my searches last night, but that doesn't mean that they're not there. Just I couldn't find it. If you or anybody else finds this can you relay it to me?

Just out of curiosity I went and looked at the wired headset that comes with the phone. It connects via mini usb. I'd say if you want to take a chance i'd look for a mic with mini usb.

I have a bose headset with a 4 barrel tip.

The headset port has full support for stereo and a mic.

I tried the voice recorder i have built into Calk's kitchen and the mic on my headset definitely works.

I have iphone headset with a mic built in. The mic works on that as well as the headphones. The button on the headset even answers and calls as it should

Thanks for all the answers, I'll look for a mini usb mic also.
