Memory Usage in 6.5, can it be reduced?
 

I have been running Mighty Mike's latest ROM with SUI2.5 and W6.5, I notice that I am using memory in the mid 60% range even after using cleanram. 6.1 ran in the 40's after installing the two cabs found on here.

What are you idle memory numbers at?

What would you suggest to free up some ram?

You shouldn't worry about it..what are you trying to do hit 0% ram? the OS itself takes up ram....you can always remove sense and all but still it should not be necessary..even my home computer pc I run 50%-70% memory usage.

What do you need this memory for?

I was worried too cause mine's was running in the 70%'s...with nothig more than GT2L's tweak package. Eeeeekkkk!

But proceeded to:

1. Instaledl the regular HTC Task Mgr cab removed my old jdrTaskMgr cab.
2. Also used this Res Proxy in this thread.
3. Used the strra cab to end data connection after 60 seconds.

Things are settling below 60% consistently now.

Thanks guys, I just remember the phone was snappier with 6.1 running with less memory footprint. I can run at 0% ram usage all day, just turn the motha off!

I also wish my phone used less memory, I run 63% at first boot and within a day it will hit 75%, once it hits 75% it starts running like crap and needs a soft reset. I used to run 6.1 for days without a ram cleaning or soft reset, now i'm doing a soft reset every day.
