Phone as Fax
I am trying to get my computer to identify my phone as a modem rather than as NDIS Internet Sharing Device.
I used to use a program (32bitfax) to send faxes from my old phone. Anybody have any ideas? |
Re: Phone as Fax
Can you sent fax from your phone? I am looking for it also for the WM.

Hmm... I'd like to be able to do this too. Would be incredibly convenient! :) |

Re: Phone as Fax
I was able to get my computer to recognize it as a modem by installing the drivers located here:

Install wmodem driver dial ##3424# plug phone into computer windows succesfully recognizes phone as htc usb modem Now I just need to figure out how to configure my computer to send faxes via the modem |
Re: Phone as Fax
you also get a modem when paired via Bluetooth which requires less hacking, but I haven't yet tried this for fax. Maybe tomorrow night.

Hey guys, just use an app called ScanToPDF: http://www.scantopdf.co.uk/ They make a version that I downloaded from the Sprint Software Store which you can use your phone's camera to take a picture of the document and save it to your phone as a pdf. Then you can email it or you can use faxzero.com to send it as a fax. ;) |

Re: Phone as Fax
I know I am reviving this post from the dead... but I can't seem to find any solution that works. tried google... but no luck.
I understand that fax is as useful as a floppy disk. but once in a blue moon, I do find myself having to need it. It would be awesome to use tp2 as a winfax. I'm not too crazy about paying monthly fee for some electronic fax service when I only use it once or twice a year. Back to the point. I was able to install the driver and have my win7 64bit recognize the htc usb modem. but no matter what fax setting i set it as, it just does not respond. appreciate your input on this. |

You just need something like scan2pdf or the photocopy app in the favorite cabs thread to save a document on your device and then use faxzero. |
