Phone Wakes UP for No reason, Solution?
 

My TP2 keeps wking up for no reason, is there a solution for this?

this never used to happen with my t-mobile tp2, is it a CDMA thing?

it has to do with the radio and is a signal issue that happens on most cdma ppc's. there is no real soution except to install the HD2 proximity sensor tweak (keep phone turned off in pocket) and instll a lock device to keep buttons from being pressed (or "butt dialing")

How is the reception where you are? My home has shitty reception so it is constantly changing from EVDO to 1x and back. When i am in a place with good reception, i get 2 days worth out of a charge with moderate to heavy usage.

Also, what cabs do are you running in regards to power?

I live in Los Angeles, i usually get good reception, i always have at least 3 bars of EV but once in a while it goes to 1. The only thing i have done to it is the power tweak from HTC Rhodium from htcaddicts.com. The weird thing is that when it wakes up it doesn't change from x1 to ev it stays on ev :???:

Actually, It has to do with how often your mail is updated. If your mail is updated every 15 minutes, your phone will come out of sleep that often, if its updated every hour, it will come out of sleep every hour...etc......etc...

Touche', how many things do you have that automatically update? I find for email and rss feeds, an hour or so i fine. I like to do 2 hrs, if i really need to check something I can just hit send/receive if anything.

no...for me...everytime it wakes up is when it changes from evdo to 1x. then it might change back to evdo again or just not be able to connect to #777.

can't believe the cooks or ms haven't solved this yet.

I have to a live and gmail account both updating every hr. I have no rss feeds either. I dont' think its that becuase its waking up every 10 to 15 minutes....

I'm going to check the settings see what else is running
