Swype on WM 6.5
 

Has anyone determined how to get Swype 2.0 working on the new Sprint WM 6.5 ROM? I have installed the 2.0 .cab but when I go to "Input" and select Swype, as soon as I leave the screen it defaults back to "Touch Input".

I've read other threads talking about this issue, has anyone fixed it? If a thread exists with the answer please point me to it and then we can delete this one. TIA.

I soft reset and it is working great on mine ... I have only used it a few days and love it.

I have the same problem; somehow i am not able to select swype as the input method. it goes back to touch input after I leave the screen. hopefully someone figures out a way out or may be it is just the two of us who are unlucky and have this problem :(

I'm having this problem as well. I'm going to try reinstalling it when I get a chance later tonight.

Just go into a program that uses the keyboard and click on the keyboard and select Swype from the other input methods. Works for me everytime.

I've got swype installed and working without any probs as well. You may need to do a soft reset after you have installed it but like NCHEVYHEVN said just start typing and click the little arrow next to the keyboard to select swipe instead of touch input.

Swype is not permitted on any devices other than the Samsung Omnia II. I'll let it slide on the infractions but do not continuing discussing this!
