SPB Mobile Shell after Sprint 6.5 Update

I just flashed the Sprint 6.5 Update on my TP2 ans I'd like to use SPB Mobile Shell. How do I get Mobile Shell to on top of the new interface? (Is that what people are calling sense?)

I am able to tap start, then launch SPB Home, but it always goes back to sense? Can I disable sense altogether? How do I get Mobile Shell to sta on top?

Thanks for any help.

Rick

Hit Start in upper left corner of screen > then go to settings > then the "today" screen should be there

You can turn off Sense if you want. But when I install MS, it places itself "on top" after install without doing anything.

I thought SPB would put itself on top too, but it didn't. It seams that after disableing sense, it removed some of the other funcions too. After disabling sense, I when I tap start, settings it does nothing. I have to go thru mobile shell then settings. Does that sound right?

Hmmm... I haven't flashed the new rom myself but I can tell you that on all of the custom 6.5 roms that I have used Shell automatically places itself on top of Sense and the start menu settings icon should work normally as well. Which version of Mobile Shell are you using? 3.5.3 is the latest build and that is what I use.

I'm using 3.5.0. It installed fine over the 6.1 rom though. So far I've noticed settings and home don't work from the start menu.

no. when you install the new update it will erase everything on your phone.
here's the site http://www.htc.com/us/support/touch-...int/downloads/
right above the download link, there is a link labeled "more". click on that and it will give you instructions

When you flash the new rom it deletes EVERYTHING! Make sure you backup anything you wish to save first.

I got the update from here:

Good luck.

Yea as long as you have a serial number for 3.5 you can go ahead and download the lastest edition from the SPB website. 3.5.3. was optimized for windows mobile 6.5 and it addresses a lot of the issues that occured when 6.5 was released. so just uninstll 3.5 and install 3.5.3 and you should be ok after that.

Yep, you're right. I ended up doing a hard reset and started over installing 3.5.3 and all is good now.

Thanks.
