6.5 Won't download entire email message
 

I just upgraded to WM 6.5 and I can't get the email to download the entire message or messages from more than 3 days ago. I looked all over but can't find anyway to change these settings. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

from inbox go options/tools/select account/send& receive schedule and or download settings..is that what your looking for?

Open email, click menu, tools, options, click on the account you want to change, and click on download size settings and send/receive schedule, modify how you want it.

You'll get there. I was typing and went back to check to make sure I was giving correct instructions, hit submit and saw you're post. Happened yesterday a couple of time too... I gotta type faster!

I can't find any download settings. They were right there with send/receive schedule on 6.1, but now there is nothing there.

I started to have this same problem a few days ago and now i have no idea where to even begin. I had all my settings rite and it was just extremely SLLLLLOOOOOOOWWWWWWW downloading email. I have it set to download only 5kb or something small like that. but now i cant get it to download a 700 kb pic. which just started last night. and now i can't even stream music ussing orb or sirius. sirius is so bad that it buffers so much i will only hear about 5 sec of a 5 min song.

I need some help from someone with some experience.

Sounds like you've got something else running and using data, or too many things trying to use data at once. You can download memmaid (free trial use) and check running apps and running processes. Are you using push internet or push e-mail? Which ROM are you on?

That is what i figured i ahven't used a good task mamnager yet i will in the next Hour.

Man I feel dumb. With 6.1 if menus are larger than the screen there was a small arrow that showed top or bottom. Spent 2 hours trying to find the email more advanced setup.](*,)

if ur memory is ok, it could be verizon as well..once in a while i have issues with sprint in my area and i have to call to have them reset my data.

How about to automatically download images/pics/attatchments??? instead of having them show up as a separate file. please....

Not sure if this helps but I am using Outlook with an Exchange server and Activesync. Under Start / Tools / Activesync / Menu / Options / E-mail / Settings, I have message format set to HTML and I get inline images showing up right in the e-mail. There is also an option to automatically download attachments (with a size limit) but I'm not using that. This is the same settings page that existed in 6.1 but I remember it being a little easier to find.

(btw I am on the new Sprint stock 6.5)

yeah my memory is good, i was on the phone with vzw's support tonight. and that was 1 of the things that they tried to do. first was a speed test, and MAN DID I shock him i got a 6kbps download, i told him i thought i was back on my nextel 930, not to make any sprint or nextel users mad. then a data reset nothing happened.

so vzw is sending me another 1.

yeah exactly that would suck rite now, i was looking online for the warranty period (length) for tp2 does anyone know.

im glad i didn't have to pay the insurance deductable. or i would have put up with the problem for another couple weeks

if its manufacture its a year, i believe, but if there are known issues, its longer, like with the TP they knew that the digitizer would come off, so you could exchange it after a year. depends on your carrier as well

My sirius cab doesn't work anymore with 6.5. And this is silly but I work in a basement with a bad signal. Before with 6.1 it would pop up the message window and say message sent for text only and now it doesn't do that. Is there a setting I'm missing. I don't want it to pop up when I get one but to say message sent. And I hate not having the call history on the front and I don't know how to tell if I have a missed call and from who? Rose

Missed calls workaround: Settings tab -> Sound & Display -> Notification Sounds -> Missed Call to On

Thanks, I got the new Sirius from Marketplace on my phone it's working good.. As for the missed call work around mine is set to on.. But on 6.1 it was right on your home screen and it was easy to see who it was missed from and to delete call history. Now I just have to look at the icon at top or am I missing something still? I know I can have a notification pop up a window that says missed call but doesn't tell from who. But then it goes away. So I m I guessing I'll just click on the notification bar at the top when I see the icon and then I'll see who I missed a call from there. I was just used to it being on the today screen and it was easier to delerte call history. Now I think I have to phone then menu and call history and delete and select all and done it's more steps but like i said I could be missing something there too. And how come some of notifications it's like greyed out for me to set a timer for the green light to flash for notifying me for stuff? And last the enable notification. I want it to say message sent with a popup like it did before every time I sent a text the window popped up and said message sent? Now it doesn't do that. I am not wanting to get rid of it cause it doesn't come up like it did on 6.1 but if this is what I want how do I add that and where? Do I need Total Commander installed or something else?
