Re: Remote Desktop update on Sprint 6.5?
Unfortunately there is no ABOUT link within the RDC app supplied with either the original Sprint 6.1 ROM or the new Sprint 6.5 ROM. There could be settings on your computer that you have not set up properly. Most times people do not enable RDC or they do not enable LESS SECURE VERSIONS of RDC for Vista or Windows 7 since the RDC supplied with either of Sprints ROM's does not use Microsoft's newer Remote Desktop Protocol. I personally have had a FLAWLESS experience using the integrated RDC. If you feel that the RDC app integrated in the ROM is at fault try searching the forum for WM6-RDP-Finster :D Hope this helps!

RDP works fine with the new Sprint TP2 WM6.5 ROM. Doesn't appear to be any different from the WM6.1 version either.

Re: Remote Desktop update on Sprint 6.5?
So as to not confuse others.........
RDP - Remote Desktop Protocol - A proprietary protocol developed by Microsoft that provides a GUI to a remote user. RDC - Remote Desktop Connection - The ACTUAL CLIENT OR APPLICATION that uses the Remote Desktop Protocol in order to provide a GUI to a remote user. RDS - Remote Desktop Services is a component of Windows that allows users the ability to access Windows Resources remotely while utilizing both RDC and RDP. |
