Or just bring the menu item back:

HKLM/ControlPanel/Owner, change Hide from 1 to 0, reboot

I'm new to this, and I appreciate all the help so far.
Once I filled in the "my contact card" under "people" I was at least able to successfully register a program with a code linked to the 'owner name' that i couldn't previously.

if your not cool with reg.edits i have a cab, lemme upload it, its on other tp2. i guess it works on new sprint 6.5. thanx to juicy for cab.

thispost is right no reg edits or cabs needed just fill out the info on your contact card and it will set the owner info for you sprint conectted the two in the new rom

I understand the regedits and such, but I am so very very confused. I'm trying to buy a program that links it's unlock code to the owner name, just as one of the other posters did.
Since this unlock codes linked to owner's name is not uncommon, Why oh Why on God's Green Earth would they hide the Owner Info ??

tjd & JCable2 are correct they linked it to your "My Contact Card" i filled that out first then when i did the registry edit to show owner info it was already filled out, Just remember if you fill out the contact card as first and last when you register a program place a space between them.
